Jamie is the fearless leader of High Fives, and knows firsthand how quickly your family and friends tire of hearing about your business.
The first six months after launching his first accounting business with a laptop and no clients were certainly the hardest.
After a few years he decided that rather than go it alone, there were overwhelming synergies created through merging with like minded practitioners and Carbon Group was born with a team of 13. Jump ahead a decade and there are now 17 offices from coast to coast and over 250 Carbonites.
The reality of the growth of Carbon is that it wasn’t easy and many lessons were learnt (mainly through making mistakes). Mergers and acquisitions were the key to the aggressive growth trajectory, and a willingness to try something new. Even if it failed.
Jamie comes armed with a full suite of qualifications (BCom, BBusMan, MIntEcon&F, GAICD, CPA), all of which essentially mean he has the skills, experience and know-how to help your business.
In 2023, Jamie stepped back from Carbon operations but remains a major shareholder. In addition to being a Board Member, with organisations such as Perth Angels, he now focuses on other projects, such as giving you as many High Fives as you need.
